How Finify works.
From sale to VAT return, so you can grow across borders without worrying. Here is exactly what Finify does, and what it doesn't.
Calculating VAT
You add a file with your sales to Finify, from Amazon, bol, Shopify, eBay, Kaufland, Magento®, ChannelEngine or another platform. Finify then calculates every sale: the VAT rate and scheme that apply, and the country where you file. Including the situations where it gets complicated:
Distance sales
Do you sell to consumers in another EU country? Finify uses that country’s VAT rate and knows whether you can file through the OSS.
For example: you ship an €80 order to a customer in Berlin. Finify applies 19% German VAT and prepares the sale for your OSS return.
Stock in another country
Is your stock in a warehouse in another EU country, for example with a marketplace? Finify takes the consequences into account.
For example: your stock is at Amazon in Germany and ships from there to a customer in France. Finify applies 20% French VAT and shows that you need a VAT registration in Germany.
Imports from outside the EU
Do you buy outside the EU, for example in China or the UK? Finify calculates the import VAT for you.
For example: you buy from China and sell to consumers in the EU for €60 each. Finify shows that IOSS applies, and calculates the VAT per country.
Areas outside EU VAT
Do you sell to customers in, for example, the Canary Islands? Finify knows which rules apply there.
For example: a customer in Tenerife orders from you. Finify knows the Canary Islands are outside EU VAT and charges no Spanish VAT.
Your data stays in the EU, encrypted. Read how we protect it.
Overview per country
You see per country and per period how much VAT you owe, and which sales are behind it. So you always know where you stand, and have everything ready for your return or your accountant.
- Per country: the VAT amount, the number of sales and the scheme that applies
- Per sale: the rate, the country of filing and the calculation behind it
- As an export: CSV or Excel, for your accountant or your own software
